Canadair F-86E Mk.6 Sabre "Hell-Er Bust" from Comanche Fighters, Houston. Photographed at Kingsville NAS in October 2012. This aircraft is painted as flown by Ed Heller, veteran of WWII and Korea. After flying P-47s and P-51s in Europe, Heller flew the F-86E in Korea, where he scored 3.5 victories over MiG fighters before being shot down over Manchuria. Heller was a captive until his release in 1955. He went on to fly F-100s during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and retired in 1967. You can read more about Col.
